I am a strong advocate of the liberal arts. While pursuing my degrees in mathematics and economics, I participated in chamber choirs as a leggiero tenor and in a remake of the musical Greased Lightning as a back vocalist. Whenever I am bored with economics, I sing, write poems/short stories, and critique literary works. Most recently, I sang with Cantus Novus, a semi-professional community ensemble comprising music enthusiasts of all backgrounds, at the 2023 "Back to Normal" Spring Concert, directed by Mr. Matt Davis of Illinois State University, and at the 2022 Christmas Choral Concert, directed by Dr. Scott Ferguson of Illinois Wesleyan.
